About

JB Fabrication was founded in 2010 but where and how did it come about?

Ever since my early teens I have been fascinated with anything on wheels whether it was a skateboard, BMX or an old BSA Bantam that I raced grasstrack on for a short while. Over the following years a succession of cars, bikes and scooters came and went, all modified in some way, some mild and some wild!

In the mid 90’s I managed to convince a few unsuspecting magazine editors that I could write and take pictures and so started a career as a motoring journo and photographer working for a range of four- and two-wheeled publications. These included Street Machine, Classic Ford, Mini Magazine, Classic Scootering and even a stint as Editor at the now defunct Minor Monthly at the time the only monthly magazine specialising in the cult British car the Morris Minor.

The birth of JB Fabrication

In 2010 with the magazine trade changing shape I decided another form of income was needed and so began JB Fabrication, originally from my garden shed, then a rented workshop and currently a workshop, paintshop and machine room at home!

Initially we just had a handful of products mainly for the classic Mini and Lambretta but we now have over 50 products for a range of bikes, cars and scooters as well as a range of household items following the current trend for industrial furniture.

As well as our own ever-increasing stable of projects which currently includes an F100 pickup truck, a hardtail Royal Enfield bobber and numerous custom scooters we also undertake customer builds.

In the past we have done full nut and bolt restorations, 80s style cutdown and chopper Lambrettas and even a modified Honda Melody.

We also sell a range of handmade, fabricated products as well as branded merchandise in our online shop.
